Oreo cake for my 8 year old goddaughter's birthday!
- 420gr all purpose flour
- 420gr brown sugar
- 450gr low fat milk
- 250gr butter
- 60gr cacao powder
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 180C.
In a large mixing bowl combine all ingredients and mix well.
Place a 26cm spring form in a pan. Line the form with parchment paper and grease it.
Bake for 40 minutes. Insert a knife and if it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
Cool completely and place in the freezer for 1/2 an hour to tighten and cut it easily.
Slice cake in half horizontally to create two layers.
Place bottom layer on a serving plate. Spread half the oreo cream onto cake. Add the second layer and cover the top and the sides of the cake with the rest of the oreo cream.
Chill in refrigerator for a few hours.
You can make the cake from the previous day.
Decorate it as you like.
ingredients for the oreo cream
- 1 kilo mascarpone
- 800gr cream cheese
- 6 Tbsp powdered sugar
- 20 oreo cookies, crushed
Divide the ingredients in two bowls and mix until combined.
